Johnny's sister Katie also shared some touching Instagram stories on Christmas Day, penning an emotional message to their parents, Guy and Jane Gaudreau. In one story, she posted a photo of Guy and Jane holding a sleeping Noa and Johnny. Katie captioned the photo:
"John is happy, mom and dad stopped to give babies and Mer some lovin. The best mom-mom & pop-pop."

Johnny Gaudreau's wife Meredith emotional message for Calgary Flames
Johnny Gaudreau's wife, Meredith, penned an emotional message to the Calgary Flames organization and fans after Johnny was honored in a special tribute on December 3. Gaudreau, a fan-favorite player who spent 9 seasons with the Flames before being traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2022 offseason.
In an Instagram post, Meredith expressed her gratitude to the Flames. She wrote:
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the entire Calgary Flames Organization for the warmest welcome back to celebrate John. For such a beautiful tribute and for so many warm hugs I couldn’t wait for.”
Meredith went on to say she was blown away by everything the Flames Foundation was doing to honor Johnny, which wouldn't be possible without his loving fans - "the best fans ever." She reminisced that Calgary was their first home together and the site of many favorite memories, especially the Saddledome arena.
Meredith thanked her friends for their support and called her hockey family invaluable.
“I love you Calgary so very much. Thank you for spoiling our kids and for a really special week. I know John was so flattered by your love, thankful for taking care of us and so so proud of you all.”
In closing, Meredith affirmed her love for her husband, saying it exceeds even the substantial love from Flames fans combined.
