San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk’s wife, Kristin Juszczyk, is well-known in the sports community for her out-of-the-box and custom-made sports apparel for fans. She recently turned the latest edition of the 2024 NHL All-Star jersey into sweatpants, which, unlike her other creations, did not get a warm reception from fans.

Kristin posted a video on her TikTok account where she transformed the jersey into custom-made designer pants. The fashion designer’s custom-made fan jackets went viral during Super Bowl LVIII earlier this year, and she has since become a prominent figure in bespoke fan apparel.

However, this time around, fans were not as impressed with her creation. Fans expressed their disappointment with the design on the internet.

Following are some fan reactions from X:

“It's just a pair of pants? I don't get it. Looks fine either way, but is this supposed to be groundbreaking stuff? People been doing this for hundreds of years.”
“All her other stuff is vastly better,” wrote one fan.
“I could turn those pants into a rug on my floor,” commented one user.

Earlier this year, the original design of the 2024 NHL All-Star jerseys did not get a warm reception either. Fans felt that turning those into pants did little to improve the design.

“They were ugly before and they are ugly now too.”
“They are terrible,” commented another fan.
“She’s creative but these are for 12 year olds and she didn’t have much to work with. She did the best anyone could on this,” wrote one user.

Kristin Juszczyk has designed custom jackets for celebrities like Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes during the 2023-24 NFL playoffs. However, her latest project with the NHL jerseys has proven to be less popular.

2024 NHL All-Star jerseys were designed by Justin Bieber’s fashion brand

The 2024 NHL All-Star jerseys were originally made by Adidas and designed by Drew House, the fashion brand co-founded by music icon Justin Bieber. The jerseys come in four different colors—blue, red, yellow, and white—and a modern, streetwear-inspired look.

These jerseys featured an enlarged NHL shield crest, one of the largest ever on an NHL jersey. According to NHL chief brand officer Brian Jennings, the goal was to bring a youthful, fashion-forward look to the All-Star event.

"The All-Star Weekend in Toronto is the perfect setting for a fresh perspective on the All-Star jersey," Jennings said. (via NHL.com). "The vibrant colors in this year’s All-Star collection are both youthful and classic and offer the perfect complement to the young NHL talent set to meet in Toronto for this year’s NHL All-Star Weekend."

While NFL fans had urged for a partnership between Kristin Juszczyk and the league to bring her unique collection to a broader audience, it seems NHL fans are still on the fence regarding her creations.
