Ryan Whitney shared his thoughts on the "Spittin' Chiclets" podcast about the Edmonton Oilers losing defenseman Philip Broberg to the St. Louis Blues. The Oilers chose not to match the Blues' offer sheet, leading Broberg to sign the two-year, $9,161,834 contract with St. Louis.

Ryan Whitney praised Broberg's improvement and recalled a conversation with Paul Coffey’s son, who was confident that Broberg would become a star player.

"Like he's going to be unbelievable." Whitney said, "And then to see what he did in the playoffs. And I'm like, yes. Like this guy, like he's going to take all."

Whitney noted that adding Broberg with Evan Bouchard and Mattias Ekholm strengthened the Blues' defense,

"Like you're just adding a big-time player to this decor with Bouchard and Ekholm and the Blues and Army. What a move."
"It turns out right now he's got seven points in nine games. He's playing a ton. His skating is so good, and he looks phenomenal. That's a kick in the d**k to Edmonton."

Since joining the Blues from Oilers, Broberg has shown his skills. He has recorded seven points in nine games.

Broberg has made an impact in recent games. On Oct. 31, he had an assist in a 2-1 loss to the Flyers. Earlier, he logged a power-play assist and two hits in an 8-1 loss to the Senators.

In 11 games this season, Philip Broberg has posted eight points, his highest total to date. He has also made 11 shots, 10 hits, 10 blocked shots and posted a plus-5 rating while playing a top-four role.

Looking at Philip Broberg's performance in the St. Louis Blues' loss vs Philadelphia

Philip Broberg played well in the game against the Philadelphia Flyers, even though the St. Louis Blues lost 2-1. He had one assist, two shots on goal and 20:53 minutes of ice time. Broberg ended with a plus-one rating.

The Flyers scored first. Garnet Hathaway made it 1-0 at 11:12 in the first period. He finished a play from Ryan Poehling. Nathan Walker tied the game for the Blues at 9:58 in the third period. He scored off a rebound from Broberg's shot.

Bobby Brink scored the winning goal for the Flyers at 16:59 in the third period. He finished a give-and-go with Joel Farabee. Samuel Ersson, the Flyers’ goalie, made 20 saves in the game. He stopped 14 shots in the first two periods.

Philip Broberg continues to show promise as he adapts to his role with the Blues after leaving the Oilers.
