Kiefer Sherwood's fiancee Ariela Smith drops special message for beau on couple's anniversary

Vancouver Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood is engaged to his partner Ariela Smith. On Saturday, Ariela celebrated the couple’s fourth anniversary with a sweet post, wishing Sherwood on their special occasion.

Ariela posted a black and white couple picture from their pre-wedding photoshoot done last year in November. In the caption, she wrote:

“Happy anni 💕🎈4 years and forever more”

In the picture, the couple posed together in an outdoor field. Ariela wore a long, fitted white dress and had her arm gently wrapped around Sherwood's arm. The Canucks forward dressed casually in a suede jacket, a plain shirt and jeans.

Ariela and Kiefer got engaged in August 2024 during their trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands where Sherwood proposed to her on a beach at the Amanyara resort.

Sherwood signed a three-year contract with Vancouver last summer, weeks before his engagement. Even the Canucks congratulated the couple with a special post on their X account for the engagement.

Earlier last week, Vancouver Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood made a stylish entrance at Rogers Place ahead of the team’s Thursday night matchup against the Edmonton Oilers. Sherwood sported a sleek black ensemble, complete with an overcoat, checkered pants, polished shoes and a beanie covering his long black hair.

Sherwood’s fiancee Ariela Smith had a cheeky reaction to his gameday outfit and hairstyle. Sharing a repost of the Canucks’ official Instagram photos featuring player arrivals, Smith captioned Sherwood’s picture requesting a funny petition on her Instagram stories.

Ariela is a regular at Kiefer's games. She often attends Vancouver Canucks matches and posts live updates on Instagram during game nights. Unfortunately for Sherwood, the Oilers beat them 6-2 on that night.

The couple are set to get married this year. Ariela previously announced on Instagram that their wedding will take place on July 26, 2025.

She has already started preparing for the big day. In November 2024, she visited bridal boutiques in New York City, including Kleinfeld Bridal and Bridal Reflections. Ariela shared photos from her shopping trip, including a picture of her holding a sign that read, "I Said Yes."

They also shared pre-wedding photos taken in Vancouver, British Columbia. Kiefer and Ariela were pictured walking hand-in-hand in a field with their dog, Luca. Ariela wore a white dress, while Kiefer wore light-blue jeans, a T-shirt and a jacket.
