NHL fans are joking about Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner after he said he might skip the first episode of the Prime Video docuseries "FACEOFF: Inside the NHL" featuring William Nylander and David Pastrnak. When asked if he would watch it, Marner responded,
“I probably won’t watch it, to be honest," Marner said per David Alter on Wednesday. "I like watching other documentaries. I’ll probably tune in a little bit, but I don’t think I’ll be sitting on the couch for that.”
His comments garnered reactions and fans shared their opinions on X.
“Pretty Little Liar. He will be watching,” one fan wrote.
“It's because he knows he gets cooked in that episode 😂, " another fan joked.
Some fans expressed their critical opinions.
"Mitch Marner is literally the fking definition of locker room cancer. In round 1 vs the Bruins, when Matthews AND Nylander both yelled at Marner & Nylander specifically said "stop fucking crying bro, this isn't junior hockey", THAT was the biggest sign for the Leafs to trade him," a fan wrote.
"Management needs to block Mitch Marner from giving interviews, this man has no social skills," a fan said.
Many believe Mitch Marner will eventually watch the episode about William Nylander.
"Yeah cuz he’s probably already seen enough of a one way player that doesn’t play any D, why would he watch a documentary about him" a fan wrote.
"Everyone on here crying cause he said he won't watch. Why watch defeat another year in a row? Yall acting like he didn't live through it. Sure Nylander told him to stop crying, and we'll deserved but gd people over reacting cause he's not watching a show. Give it a rest, fuck." another fan said.
The docuseries has six episodes and will be available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
