The Montreal Canadiens are on an impressive streak, winning nine of their last eleven games. They secured a 3-2 overtime win against the Washington Capitals at Capital One Arena on Friday, leading to positive reactions from fans on X (formerly Twitter).

Ethen Frank shines in Capitals' OT loss to Canadiens
Jakob Chychrun gave the Capitals a 1-0 lead in the first period with a power-play goal. Cole Caufield tied it 1-1 in the second period, finishing a pass from Juraj Slafkovsky.
Josh Anderson made it 2-1 for Montreal with a short-handed goal after Rasmus Sandin’s turnover. Lars Eller tied the game 2-2 early in the third period, assisted by Ethen Frank.
Capitals coach Spencer Carbery praised Ethen Frank, who played a big role in Lars Eller’s tying goal.
“I thought he was arguably our best player on the ice,” Carbery said after the game, via NHL.com. “(He) has a positive impact. He’s the reason that we get that game tied. I thought he was fantastic.”
Jakub Dobes made 15 saves for the Canadiens, improving to 3-0-0 in his NHL career. Charlie Lindgren started for Washington but left injured, and Logan Thompson made 18 saves in relief.
