Carlsson managed to get back on his feet after briefly going down on the ice. It appeared he avoided a head injury when hitting the ice following the hit from Kartye.
In response to the hit, Ducks defenseman Radko Gudas dropped his gloves with Kartye. Leo Carlsson has accumulated 11 points through six goals and five assists this season.
