The New York Rangers suffered a tough 5-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils at Madison Square Garden on Monday, leaving fans frustrated with the team’s performance. The Devils controlled the game, and the Rangers couldn't respond effectively.
Following the game, Rangers coach Peter Laviolette expressed his disappointment, saying,
"We gotta win hockey games. We're a good hockey team. Right now, we're not playing very good hockey. We need to be better and those are things that are in our control. Those answers are in the room. Those are the answers that we need to figure out as a group."
The loss marked another setback for the NYR, who now hold a record of 13 wins, 10 losses, and one overtime loss. Their performance at home has also been underwhelming, with six wins, five losses, and one overtime loss.
After the coach's comments, NHL fans began reacting on X (formerly Twitter).

Joel Quenneville linked as potential Peter Laviolette replacement amid Rangers' struggles
