Seattle Kraken sports analyst J.T. Brown’s wife, Lexi LaFleur Brown, grew up in a family of hockey superfans. So it's no surprise that she took to the ice herself.
On Friday, Lexi shared a montage of photos and videos on Instagram. A few posts were throwbacks to her childhood and highlighted her hockey-playing days. One post showed her in full goalie gear, wearing a shirt that said 'North Bay.'
Lexi participated in the ‘27th Annual Walter Gretzky House League Tournament’ being held in Brantford, Ontario, from Feb. 29 - Mar. 2, 2008. Lexi is identified as player #1, Alex LaFleur. Lexi posted a humorous caption as well. It read:
“Making my mom drive 4 hours, spend $$$ and sit in a cold rink all weekend so I can let in 5 goals on 25 shots lmao”
Another post in the carousel is a screenshot of a text exchange between Lexi and her mother. The latter has sent Lexi a short video of driving through heavy snow. Lexi’s mother then sent her a text.
“So. Many. Memories.” It read.
“Lmaooo wow mom. Didn’t need to call me out like that,” Lexi replied.
Lexi and J.T. Brown met via Twitter (now X) in 2013. They were married in 2015 and have two kids, Lily and Booker.
Lexi LaFleur’s upcoming book "Shoot Your Shot" is based on her relationship with J.T. Brown
In a post on Dec. 31, Lexi reminisced about the exact moment she got the news that her book was going to be published. She shared a video of her emotional reaction at the time. The caption read:
"It was between those moments of despair that I got some of the best news of my life. Canary Street Press wanted to buy and publish my book.”
“My rockstar agent, Deidre Knight secured me an unbelievable two-book book deal. My dream would become a reality. It was an unforgettable day and a reminder that the universe must always balance itself.”
Lexi’s debut novel "Shoot your Shot," a hockey romance-drama set in Seattle, will hit the bookshelves on Mar. 11.
