Stanley Cup winner Matthew Tkachuk marks two years of his move to the Florida Panthers. Having recently won the Stanley Cup, Matthew Tkachuk took to Instagram to share a picture of him lifting the trophy and aimed a sly dig at the Flames in the process.
"What an amazing way to cap off the best 4 weeks of my life! The Stanley Cup 🏆 is a magical thing and celebrating it with family and friends is what it’s all about! Thankful for everything and everyone who made my time with the cup in both Florida and St. Louis unforgettable! Cats fans across the world… WE DID IT!!!" Matthew Tkachuk captioned the post.
He also went on to add:
"On a side note… today is a good day! I will remember July 22nd 2022 for the rest of my life!"
The former Calgary Flames winger made his debut with the Flames in the 2016-17 season and represented the franchise for seven years before eventually moving to the Florida Panthers in July 2022. Flames received a Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt and a conditional first-round pick in 2025 for Tkachuk.
It is no doubt that the Panthers and their fans will be over the moon with the performance the forward has delivered, having successfully won the Stanley Cup and will be among the favorites to go all the way next season.
