Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin shared a heartwarming holiday photo with his wife, Kate, on his Instagram story. The picture shows Tyler using crutches, dressed in white pants, a black sweater with winter patterns, and dark shoes.
Kate, wearing a light-colored dress and coat, is gently holding her baby bump and embracing Tyler. The couple posed on a street decorated with glowing string lights, creating a festive holiday atmosphere.
The caption read:
“Memorable Christmas card this year!! ❤️ @kate_seguin.”
This photo comes during a tough time for Tyler Seguin, who is recovering from surgery. On Dec. 5, he had surgery to fix a femoral acetabular impingement (FAI) and a tear in his hip labrum.
The operation was performed by Dr. Bryan T. Kelly in New York. Seguin is expected to be out for four to six months. He was placed on injured reserve after his last game, where he played over 15 minutes in a 3-1 win against the Winnipeg Jets. Despite the setback, Seguin had been performing well, with 20 points in 19 games this season.
Dallas Stars general manager Jim Nill said Seguin had been managing the injury for a while.
"And it just got to a point where it's really this time to have surgery," Nill said earlier in December.
Seguin has been a key player for the Dallas Stars. He has 808 points in 988 regular-season games and 71 points in 133 playoff games. His absence is a blow for the Dallas Stars (20-13-0) are they are placed fourth in Central Division with 40 points.
Tyler Seguin's wife Kate celebrated her baby shower
Tyler Seguin's wife Kate, on Dec. 15, shared photos from her Christmas-themed baby shower held at Mirador, Dallas. The event featured festive decorations, including red ribbons, roses, candlelit centerpieces and a sign reading:
“Baby Seguin is coming to town!”
Kate wore a white lace dress and posed with friends, who rested their hands on her baby bump.
Kate has shown her support for Tyler at games, wearing a custom “SEGUIN 91” jacket in October. Tyler and Kate celebrated their first wedding anniversary in July 2024, after marrying in the Bahamas in 2023.
Tyler proposed in Santorini, Greece, in 2022. Drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2010, Tyler won the Stanley Cup the next year and now serves as an alternate captain for the Dallas Stars.
