The NY Rangers lost 2-1 to the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday. Will Cuylle scored for the Rangers and Igor Shesterkin stopped 30 shots. Despite the effort, the Rangers are now 2-8-0 in their last 10 games. This was Blackhawks' first win under interim coach Anders Sorensen.

NHL fans started reacting to the NY Rangers' loss, with some proposing trade packages for the recent controversial Brady Tkachuk rumors.

"Mika, Chytil, Lindgren, K’Andre for Brady Tkachuk. Drury needs to man up and do whatever he has to to get Tkachuk" One fan suggested Brady Tkachuk trade urging GM Chris Drury to take action.

"Damn it. Make some changes here. I don't know what but, man, come on." one frustrated fan wrote.

"This team is a total disgrace Mika, Lindgren, and Miller are the worst... They NEED to be traded asap The A’s and core have zero effort... This team has no grit or heart ..." one fan mentioned.

NY Rangers lost to lowest-ranked Blackhawks

Monday's loss was frustrating for the NY Rangers. The Chicago Blackhawks have a record of 8-17-2 and are placed 8th in the Central Division. They have been playing poorly since the start of the season.

Meanwhile, the NY Rangers were once near the top of the Metropolitan Division with a 12-4-1 record. They recently signed Igor Shesterkin to an eight-year, $92 million contract and he executed his job in this game, but the Rangers' defensive and offensive failures are evident.

The Blackhawks opened scoring in the first period when Tyler Bertuzzi scored. The Rangers tied the game 1-1 with 43 seconds left in the first, Will Cuylle scored. In the second period, Taylor Hall scored on a 2-on-1. Despite the Rangers’ efforts and outshooting Chicago 30-29, they couldn’t score again.
