New York Islanders fans expressed disappointment after the team lost 2-0 to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday at Nationwide Arena.
It marks the Islanders' third consecutive defeat, leaving them sixth in the Metro Division with eight points after 10 games. Fans took to X/Twitter to share their thoughts on the loss.

How Blue Jackets downed the New York Islanders
Damon Severson opened the score for the Blue Jackets after putting them up 1-0 at 5:43 into the third period. Justin Danforth scored an empty netter for home for the final scoreline of 2-0 at 17:57 into the third period.
Reflecting on the loss, Islanders coach Patrick Roy said after the game (via NHL.com):
“We deserve to be disappointed because we played a really good game. “Back-to-back games like this, coming up with that kind of game. I thought we deserved better than that.
“I know how hard our guys are working. We're going to the net, bringing pucks to the net. The bounces just aren't going our way. There were great chances but we just couldn't finish. The guys know that.
Elvis Merzlikins registered the shutout win after delivering a strong performance between the pipes for a second straight game. With 11 points, the Blue Jackets are fifth in the Metro Division after nine games. They will be up against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday.
Meanwhile, the New York Islanders travel to KeyBank Center on Friday to face the Buffalo Sabres. The puck drops at 7 p.m. ET.
