Late NHL stars Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau died in a tragic road accident near Salem County in late August. The Gaudreau family will be celebrating their first Thanksgiving without their beloved ones this year.

On Sunday, Johnny Gaudreau’s sister Katie reshared a throwback picture from eight years ago of the siblings and their partners sitting together on a couch. The image featured Matthew Gaudreau and wife Madeline, the eldest of the Gaudreau siblings Kristen, Katie and Kristen’s husband. The picture was originally posted by Kristen.

“Happy Thanksgiving! ❤️ missin @johngaudreau03 #thankful”, the post was captioned.

Madeline wore a light gray sweater while Matthew can be seen wearing a gray tracksuit jacket and a dark cap. Kristen sported a green Philadelphia Eagles hoodie as Katie wore a checkered shirt. Kristen’s husband sat on the floor wearing a red baseball cap with a gray Eagles sweatshirt as the group posed for the picture.

Johnny Gaudreau’s mother posts throwback family picture from Johnny’s wedding

On Sunday, Johnny Gaudreau’s mother Jane posted a throwback family photo from Johnny’s wedding. The group photo was taken outdoors during the late NHLer’s wedding event in 2021.

In the picture, Katie wore a light gray gown and held a white bouquet. Beside her was Matthew, who looked crisp in a black tuxedo. Jane wore a stylish dark gray dress with a one-shoulder design, standing next to Guy, who donned a classic black suit and bow tie.

Kristen wore a matching sleek gray gown similar to her sister and held a bouquet of white flowers.

Jane Gaudreau also reshared an emotional note from the Instagram account ‘mamamanu.co’ on her story and tagged all four of her children.

“To my children, when I tell you that I love you, I don't say it out of habit or to make conversation. I say it to remind you that you are, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to me”, the original post read.
