Late NHL star Johnny Gaudreau’s wife, Meredith, took to Instagram on Friday to share her thoughts on custom baby merchandise created in honor of Johnny and his brother Matthew. The navy baby hoodies feature hockey-themed designs, including Johnny and Matthew’s numbers "Gaudreau 13 | 21".
On Friday, "BLK the Label" shared a carousel of close-ups pictures of their specially produced Gaudreau memorabilia. Their baby-sized navy hoodies featured "BABY" and the number 13 on the sleeve, a "Gaudreau 13 | 21" logo with a dove on the chest, and hockey-themed graphics of crossed sticks inside a heart. The back displays "DADDY" above the red-and-white number 13.

“The most incredible details 💙💙 Every single part so thoughtful and sentimental”

Johnny Gaudreau’s sister shares throwback family photo from brother Matthew’s birthday
On Friday, Johnny Gaudreau’s sister Katie shared a touching family photo on her Instagram stories. The picture, taken 13 years ago, shows the Gaudreau family celebrating Matthew’s birthday at their kitchen counter.
In the photo, Matthew is sitting in front of the birthday cake, wearing a gray beanie and a hoodie with “Gloucester Catholic Lady Rams” written on it. Standing behind him were Katie, their parents, Guy and Jane, all smiling. Guy wore an orange t-shirt that says “Three Star Champion,” while Katie and Jane were dressed in red.
Katie has shared other family memories recently, including old Christmas photos featuring Johnny and Matthew. This Christmas was their first without the Gaudreau brothers.
Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, aged 31 and 29, were killed on August 29 in a biking accident in Oldmans Township, New Jersey. They were home for Katie’s wedding, where they were set to be groomsmen.
The accident happened when an allegedly drunk driver, Sean M. Higgins, tried to pass another car and hit the brothers. Authorities report that Higgins was likely driving under the influence and has been charged with two counts of death by auto. If found guilty, he could face up to 20 years of prison time.
