Late NHL star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother’s untimely death in a tragic road accident last year left the entire hockey community in grief. Since then, the Gaudreau family has been paying special tributes to the memory of their beloved ones from time to time.

On Friday, Johnny Gaudreau’s wife, Meredith, shared a clip from the Instagram account of 'Pressed by Sarita,' which is a custom gameday apparel manufacturer, on her stories. The clip featured a close up look at custom-made Johnny Gaudreau pants made by the fashion label.

In the caption of her story, Meredith praised the pants as ‘cute.’

“He’s so cute 😭 and so are my new fav pants,” she wrote in the caption.

The bespoke design of the custom-made apparel was a tribute to the late NHL star. One of the legs of the pants featured an illustration of Johnny Gaudreau in his hockey gear, complete with his number 13 beneath it, while the other had a picture of the back of his jersey, including the "Gaudreau" name printed multiple times in a bold font.

Johnny Gaudreay’s sister pen emotional message in memory of late brothers

Earlier this week, Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau’s sister Katie posted a throwback photo of the four Gaudreau siblings, Johnny, Matthew, herself, and their eldest sister, Kristen. In the caption of the story she penned an emotional message in memory of her late brothers.

Katie listed her feelings and wrote:

“Today's feeling consists of sadness, hurt, anger, happiness (memory), void, anger, hurt, proud.”
“Miss you both so much it hurts,” she wrote. “Every night I go to bed proud of myself because I know how proud you both would of me. Proud of me for keeping you alive through memory/legacy, living my life like you both did, putting our family first, and staying strong enough to get through everyday.”

On Aug. 29, 2024, Johnny and Matthew were cycling in Oldmans Township, New Jersey, when they were struck and killed by an allegedly drunk driver, a 43-year-old Sean M. Higgins. Higgins was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of death by auto.

Higgins was indicted on Dec. 11, 2024, and pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Jan. 7, 2025. The legal proceedings are still underway and he faces up to 30 years of prison time if convicted.
