Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid has impressed the hockey world with his performances throughout this season. In Wednesday's game against the Arizona Coyotes, the 26-year-old power forward netted two goals to take his season tally to 60.
Soon after McDavid scored his 60th goal of the season, hockey fans were quick to recognize his class and flooded Twitter with praise and applause.

The 2022-23 NHL season is the third season in a row for McDavid in which he has accumulated more than 100 points in a season. In total, the 26-year-old has six seasons with 100 or more points.
The Edmonton Oilers captain sits atop the NHL leaderboards in terms of goals scored by a player in the current season. McDavid has played in 72 games and has managed to collect 138 points (with 60 goals and 78 assists). At his current pace, the Oilers power forward is projected to end the season with 155 points.

The Edmonton Oilers (41-23-8) defeated the Arizona Coyotes (27-33-6) to secure a 4-3 OT win at Rogers Arena on Wednesday, March 22.
McDavid gave the Oilers the lead at 5:47 of the first period with a power-play goal. Lawson Crouse equalized the score for the Coyotes ten minutes later. Clayton Keller of the Coyotes and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins of the Oilers each scored two goals in the second and third periods to tie the game at 3-3 before heading to overtime. Leon Draistl had four points on the night.
