The Florida Panthers won 2-1 in a shootout against the Minnesota Wild, thanks to Sergei Bobrovsky's clutch saves. Bobrovsky made 27 saves in regulation and overtime at the Xcel Energy Center on Monday (February 13) night.

Both teams had a silent offensive night, thanks to both goalies. NHL Twitter reacted to the Panthers' shootout win and praised both custodians for their performances in front of the net:

"I'll say it: Kaprizov is gonna win this one. He is in god mode right now," tweeted sethtoups.
"The Florida Panthers dominated the majority of the game tonight. They were the better team and deserved the win. My one main concern is their struggle to get goals even with the number of shots they had. Overall, the Panthers have looked much better as of late. #TimeToHunt," tweeted TheMaster_Plan.
"Panthers win this in a shootout as Sergei Bobrovsky closes the door! Bobrovsky is 13-3-1 against Minnesota in his career. On to St. Louis.#TimeToHunt"

After a silent first period, Wild's Eetu Luostarinen scored the first goal of the game 2:06 into the second period when he tipped in a long drive from Gustav Forsling.

Kirill Kaprizov opened the scoring for the Wild. He collected Mats Zuccarello's pass and struck an amazing wrist shot into the top left corner past Sergei Bobrovsky's gloves. Kaprizov scored his 30th goal of the season and extended his points streak to eight games.

The Minnesota WIld came very close to scoring in OT, but the best Panther on the ice, Bobrovsky, denied them a goal with an amazing save.

The goalies were the reason for the low-scoring game. The Panthers' Bobrovsky made 27 saves with .964 SV% and Filip Gustavvson of the Minnesota Wild boasted a .971 SV%.

The game headed into a shootout after both teams were neck-and-neck in regulation and overtime. Mats Zuccarello stepped up first against Bobrovsky and managed to put the puck in the back of the net with a backhand finish. Anton Lundell equalized for the Panthers.

Kirilli Kaprizov squared up against Bobrovsky next, but the goalie got the better of him this time, giving the Panthers an advantage heading into their second shot. Aleksander Barkov kept his cool and breezed one past Gustavvson to give the Florida Panthers a 2-1 lead.

Center Frederick Gaudreau stepped up to the plate next to keep the Wild in the game, but Bobrovsky made yet another save and had the last laugh.
