The Brantford Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) have been sold to Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman and his family. The sale is pending approval from the OHL, with an announcement expected soon. TSN's Darren Dreger confirmed the news, with CHCH first reporting it.
"The sale of the Brantford Bulldogs to Zach Hyman/family is pending OHL Board approval. Expect an official announcement on Monday," Dreger tweeted on X on Saturday.
Zach Hyman was born, in Toronto, Ontario. He grew up with four brothers: Spencer, Oliver, Cooper and Shane. His father, Stuart, is the chairman of the Markham Royals and the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

The city of Brantford plans to build a $140 million sports and entertainment center by 2027, which would serve as the Bulldogs' permanent home. So far, under Andlauer, the Bulldogs have won OHL championships in 2018 and 2022.
Meanwhile, Hyman is playing well for the Edmonton Oilers this season. He has 13 goals and 11 assists in 36 games. He has scored 17 points in 22 wins this season. Hyman was making headlines last season after scoring his career-high 54 goals.
Hyman has played 616 games, with 216 goals, 207 assists and 423 points. He continues to be a key player for the Oilers.
