Ottawa Senators forward Claude Giroux’s car has apparently been stolen again. His wife Ryanne on Thursday shared a tongue-in-cheek post on X.

“Good morning to everyone except the people who stole our loaner car… lol 🫠,” Ryanne tweeted.

This was the second time in four months that a car registered to Giroux was reportedly stolen. The earlier theft occurred on Sept. 25 when his Land Rover was taken from the driveway of his house in Ottawa. Ryanne posted about that incident as well, saying that she couldn’t contact the police until 10 a.m. the next day.

"Good morning Ottawa! @28CGiroux ’s car was stolen last night and is currently actively driving… unable to get ahold of @OttawaPolice until 10am… looking for other suggestions/to hear from other people in Ontario who have sadly had to deal with this recently," Ryanne tweeted.

Giroux has been one of the most consistent players for the Senators with nine goals and 21 assists this season. He has also played in all 47 games and didn’t miss a single matchup in the past two seasons.

He signed a three-year $19.5-million contract with Ottawa ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Claude Giroux unconcerned by Senators recent 5-0 loss to New York Rangers

Claude Giroux spoke to the media after the Ottawa Senators’ 5-0 loss against the New York Rangers on Tuesday. He focused on the positive aspects such as the Senators winning five of their last seven games.

“The last month or so, I think we've been playing some good hockey," Giroux said. "There's 82 games. You're going to have some games that don't click as well and you'll get some loss, but it's how you respond. So, I think for us it's just to keep doing what we're doing. Playing hard, play some good defensively and we're going to get our chances.”

Giroux, whose contract expires at the end of this season, has no intention of hanging up his skates. He addressed rumors of his retirement in an interview with The Athletic in November.

"I want to play hockey," Giroux said. "I love coming to the rink and playing every night. After I’m done, I haven’t really thought about it. I think it’s something I’ll worry about when I’m older."

The Senators will return to action on Thursday when they face off against the Boston Bruins.
