Two time runner-up Dustin Johnson is participating in this year’s PGA Championship and his wife Paulina Gretzky showed up in style to cheer for her beau. On Saturday, she shared pictures of her chic ensemble on her Instagram story.
Taking place at Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, the PGA Championship is one of the four men's major golf championships. The $20 million-purse tournament draws golf stars from all across the world every year.
For this year's event, Paulina opted for a sleek and stylish look. She wore a black Chaps full sleeve top that provided a classic, sophisticated base for her outfit. Complementing the top, she chose a Lululemon Align™ High-Rise Skirt in true navy, priced at $78.
Adding a pop of luxury, Paulina carried a maroon Gucci Jackie Small Shoulder Bag, a stunning piece valued at $3,200. She accessorised them with Anna Gold French Rope Hoop Earrings ($198) and a pre-owned Rolex Datejust 31mm, a timeless classic worth $15,854.
She also sported PRADA EYEWEAR rimless rectangle-frame sunglasses, priced at $450, which offered a chic and modern edge, perfect for a sunny day at the golf course. To complete her look (totaling $20,025), Paulina slipped in a Faye Gold Asymmetric Ring, valued at $245.
Dustin Johnson once suffered back injury owing to bedroom incident with Paulina Gretzky
Last year, Dustin Johnson disclosed a back injury during a press conference leading up to the US PGA Championship. The injury, which hampered his early season performance, was sustained in a bedroom incident involving his wife, Paulina Gretzky.
In the press conference, Johnson was asked about his slow start to the season on the LIV Golf tour. He explained that he was prepared at the beginning of the season but tweaked his back right before the Saudi International. This injury prevented him from practicing for a few weeks and led to the development of bad habits that affected his game.
When pressed about how he injured his back, Johnson initially gave a vague response, saying he pulled a muscle in his lower back. However, after further questioning, he admitted with a smile that the injury happened while "lifting up a bigger kid," which was understood as a humorous reference to his wife. This light-hearted moment brought laughter to the press room.
Johnson and Gretzky have been together since early 2013 and married in 2022. They have two kids, Tatum and River.
