Martin Pospisil was ejected after a hit on Taylor Hall during the Calgary Flames’ game against the Chicago Blackhawks. The incident happened in the second period when Hall carried the puck along the boards. Pospisil hit him from behind, sending Hall crashing into the boards.

Officials gave Pospisil a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct. After reviewing the play, they confirmed the ejection. The hit could lead to additional discipline for Pospisil.

Despite Martin Pospisil's ejection, Flames won 5-2 against the Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks lost 5-2 to the Calgary Flames on Monday at the United Center. Jakob Pelletier scored the first goal at 1:14 of the first period, assisted by Rory Kerins. Louis Crevier tied the game 1-1 at 2:38 with a wrist shot from the circle.

Pelletier scored again to give Calgary a 2-1 lead, tapping in a rebound from Kevin Bahl's shot. Matt Coronato added another goal at 14:08, finishing a scramble near the net.

Jake Bean made it 4-1 in the second period, scoring on a rebound from Yegor Sharangovich's shot off the boards.

Connor Bedard scored on the power play at 11:29, cutting the Flames' lead to 4-2. The goal came during Martin Pospisil’s five-minute penalty. Sharangovich responded with a short-handed goal at 13:38, sealing the 5-2 win.

Petr Mrazek made 31 saves for Chicago, but defensive errors were costly. Seth Jones’ turnover led to a crucial Flames goal. Despite Bedard reaching his 100th NHL point, Chicago suffered their third straight loss.
