The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to take on the Ottawa Senators for their second preseason game on Tuesday. The Maple Leafs go on the road after losing to Ottawa 6-5 in overtime on Sunday.

In the loss, new Toronto coach Craig Berube wasn't thrilled with his team's effort.

“We come out just slow, just didn’t move the puck quick enough,” Berube said, via Toronto Sun. “That’s why we ended up with two shots in the first period (to Ottawa’s 15). We didn’t want to shoot, got too cute at times. It got better, but overall there are things we’ve got to clean up our directness.”

Heading into the second preseason game, which is on the road, they will likely rest most of their key players.

It seems likely that Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander and John Tavares won't play on the road as all of them played in the first preseason game at home on Sunday.

Instead, the Maple Leafs will take a look at some players vying for a roster spot like Cowan, Abruzze, Holmberg, and Hirvonen among others.

After Joseph Woll and Matt Murray played on Sunday, Anthony Stolarz and Dennis Hildeby will likely split the game on Tuesday. Stolarz should get his first game as a Maple Leaf.
