Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes recently shared his thoughts on defenseman Filip Hronek's much-anticipated return from injury.

Hronek, who is under an eight-year, $58 million contract, suffered an apparent upper-body injury during a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins in November. Although he needed an operation on his lower body, no surgery was required for his upper body.

After a brief conditioning stint with the AHL club, Hronek is on the path to recovery, While the exact timeline of his return is uncertain, his comeback to the Canucks indicates positive progress.

Quinn Hughes expressed his contentment about Hronek's return, emphasizing the team's need for his presence on the ice in the upcoming days.

"He always looks great. Yeah, so happy I mean, I don't know what his plan is tomorrow, but I'm sure he'll be back in the next couple days, and we obviously desperately need him." Hughes said.

According to coach Rick Tocchet, Filip Hronek is a "game time" decision for their matchup against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Czech defenseman has racked up nine points through a goal and eight assists in 21 games this season.

Quinn Hughes shared his thoughts about snapping four-game losing streak

Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes reflected on his team's impressive performance in a 3-0 shutout victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

The win was significant as it allowed the Canucks to snap a four-game losing streak. Hughes acknowledged the adversity the team has faced recently and said the win was meaningful given the struggles they endured this season.

"I think it just means a lot," Hughes said after the win. "I know how the last couple weeks have been for our team and all the different things we've had to battle and not only the last couple weeks, but you know, this entire season really."
"Just that nothing's coming easy and, you know, we're working, oso hard, working as hard as we can, and there's no excuses being made in there. There's no pointing fingers. We just go to work," he added.

Hughes has accumulated 47 points through 38 goals and nine assists in 38 games this season with a plus-15 rating. Meanwhile, the Canucks improved their record to 19-13-10 and are fifth in the Pacific Division standings.
