NHL fans have had mixed reactions to New York Rangers enforcer Matt Rempe's acting debut in Bodyarmor's "Office Temp" commercial. In the ad, Rempe acts like a hockey player with his on-ice intensity while working in an office.

NHL insider Mollie Walker shared the video on X, saying:

"This is freakin' hilarious stuff from #NYR Matt Rempe."

The 22-year-old gained popularity for his tough style and became a fan favorite despite limited playing time. His engaging personality has made him marketable, and this is likely just the start of his commercial appearances.

Some fans loved the humor, while others were less impressed.

"Omg this is amazing!! The bit about the quarter v the period hahaha. The part of me that works in finance and is ALWAYS talking about quarters loved that!," a fan said.
"It’s really not that funny," one fan commented.
"Love this guy. Was at a signing where his line was bigger than Fox, Shesty, Miller, Vesey and King Henrik. He loved every minute of it. #LGR," another fan commented.

Rempe hasn't played any game this season but will likely be a regular face in the Rangers lineup later. Some other reactions to Rempe's commercial on X:

"3 minutes a game .. should bring him back to Hartford until they get a coach who uses the young Guys," a fan shared.
"This must be some highbrow NYC humor that my midwestern brain can’t comprehend," one fan said.
"How does someone who played 3 shifts a game get this much recognition lol he’s horrible," a fan questioned.

Matt Rempe focuses on skill development amidst NHL challenges

Matt Rempe has worked on enhancing his overall game this offseason. He improved his skating and offensive skills with guidance from his mentor Georges Laraque.

Rempe is a fan favorite in New York and has faced criticism about his play but has stayed calm when challenges arise, like being a healthy scratch. He understands that watching games can help him learn. At 22, he knows he has much to learn.

"Obviously, you want to play every game, but I'm 22 - a lot to learn, a lot to learn. A lot of time to improve. It's alright," Rempe said (via nyrangersinsider.com).

During training camp, he showed his skills, but players like Adam Edstrom did better.
