"Rude to leave out Crosby"; "Matt Rempe": Hockey fans name their favorite player to feature in FACEOFF: Inside the NHL Season 2 

It won't be long before a second season of the popular "FACEOFF: Inside the NHL" docuseries is released, and fans are already pumped up for the next round of action.

"We're thrilled to bring fans another season of this compelling series," said Shaun Alperin, Head of Content, Canada, Prime Video. "The first season of FACEOFF resonated strongly with our audience, and we're excited to continue our partnership with Box To Box and NHL Productions to deliver more of the raw emotion and behind-the-scenes action that hockey fans crave."

It's already been confirmed that Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk will be prominently featured. But what other players are fans most excited to see in the second edition of the popular docuseries?

Fans voiced who they'd like to see prominently figured this time around, and the answers varied from top NHL stars to a currently suspended player who rarely sees the ice:

"Matt Rempe… to see if he can put a full sentence together still," wrote @hockeybarn_.

"It was shocking how big of douche bags the players on Toronto were. I’m still recovering from that," wrote @chumpdad.

"Jonathan Quick, Jacob Trouba again, Claude Giroux, Matvei Michkov, Alex Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, Adam Fantilli, Sean Monahan, Patrik Laine," wrote @TheDumpNChase.

"Marchand would be the perfect pair with him. Give me a sid and ovi EP, a goalie one too igor, vasy helle even a few of the best this year," wrote @yojustcolby.

"Mat barzal so we can can finally get inside info on this dumpsterfire of an organization that we call the New York Islanders. But sadly lou won't have it," answered @RyanSeanOverton.

"A Flower episode would be incredible for his last season. Would love to see more older guys overall. Sid, Ovi, Malkin (all of who are having pretty significant career moments this season)," opined @puckfreezer.

FACEOFF: Inside the NHL Season 1 was a success

The opening season of the docuseries, which featured prominent moments from the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, gave fans a special behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the NHL.

Several prominent players were featured, including Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Filip Forsberg, David Pastrnak, William Nylander and Jeremy Swayman.

Among the highlights of the first season of the docuseries was the impassioned rant McDavid had toward his teammates after dropping Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final to the Florida Panthers.

While the Edmonton Oilers eventually did follow McDavid's advice and push the series to the limit, it would be the Panthers who earned the first Stanley Cup title in team history.
