The Philadelphia Flyers cruised past the Edmonton Oilers with a commanding 4-1 win at home on Thursday. The Oilers have now lost three games out of four played.
It was yet another game early in the season in which the Oilers' defense and goaltending failed to keep the puck at bay. Their offensive unit, which was on display against the Preds, fell short of breaking the Flyers' defense, with only Zach Hyman scoring a goal for the team in the contest.
The Oilers sit sixth in the Pacific Division with only two points after four games. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Flyers claimed their third win of the season and sit atop the Metropolitan Division with six points.
The Edmonton Oilers fans were disappointed with the level of performance their team displayed against the Flyers and took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts on the defeat.
One fan tweeted:
"This team is still so incredibly flawed its insane."
