The St. Louis Blues signed defenseman Philip Broberg and forward Dylan Holloway from the Edmonton Oilers. Both players were restricted free agents, and St. Louis signed them to offer sheets that Edmonton chose not to match.

The Blues signed Broberg to a two-year deal worth $4.58 million per season, while Holloway signed a two-year deal worth $2.29 million per season. St. Louis gave Edmonton a second-round pick for Broberg and a third-round pick for Holloway. Both players were former first-round picks.

After the acquisitions, here is the projected lineup for the St. Louis Blues, according to PuckPedia.com.

St. Louis Blues' projected lineups

Forwards

  • Jake Neighbours - Robert Thomas - Jordan Kyrou
  • Brandon Saad - Pavel Buchnevich - Brayden Schenn
  • Alexei Toropchenko - Radek Faksa - Alexandre Texier
  • Mathieu Joseph - Dylan Holloway - Kasperi Kapanen

The St. Louis Blues would have Nathan Walker and Oskar Sundqvist as scratches, but the lines could change based on how they play during preseason and training camp.

Holloway is projected as the Blues' fourth-line center but could also play on the wing to move up the lineup. Last regular season, he skated in 38 games, recording six goals and three assists for nine points. In the postseason, he played in 25 games, contributing five goals and two assists.

Defense

  • Nick Leddy - Colton Parayko
  • Philip Broberg - Justin Faulk
  • Scott Perunovich - Ryan Suter

The Blues also have Torey Krug, but he is injured and could miss the entire season. Broberg is projected to be the Blues' second-line left-shot defenseman, playing alongside Justin Faulk and replacing Krug.

Last regular season, Philip Broberg skated in 12 games, recording no goals and two assists for two points. He added two goals and one assist for three points in 10 playoff games.

Goalie

  • Jordan Binnington
  • Joel Hofer

The Blues have Jordan Binnington as their starting goalie and Joel Hofer as the backup goalie for the 2024-25 NHL season. Binnington went 28-21-5 with a 2.84 GAA and a .913 SV% last season, while Hofer went 15-12-1 with a 2.65 GAA and a .914 SV%.
