NFL legend Tom Brady channeled his inner Sidney Crosby at the Fanatics Fest NYC. Fans caught a glimpse of Brady shooting pucks at a prepositioned dryer as part of the fan experience.

The idea of shooting pucks at dryers stacked on top of one another came from Sidney Crosby’s childhood, as he practiced shooting pucks at old dryers while growing up in Nova Scotia, Canada.

However, NHL fans were unimpressed with Brady’s Sidney Crosby impersonation. In fact, some fans went on social media to poke fun at the Super Bowl champ.

Here’s what some fans had to say about Brady’s hockey skills:

“Stick to football Tom,” one fan opined.
“TBH Crosby is better than Brady,” another fan weighed in.
“Crosby did it better,” one fan commented.
“See! Tom Brady sucks!,” a fan posted on X.

While some fans poked fun at Brady, other fans were much more supportive. Let’s take a look at some comments from fans rooting for the NFL GOAT.

“The 🐐 is talented in every way possible!” this fan Tweeted.
“It was okay,” another fan expressed.

Fans shouldn’t expect to see Brady hit the ice any time soon. In the meantime, fans got to see Brady do something else other than throw a football.

Sidney Crosby closing in on major milestones

Sidney Crosby will be entering the final year of his 12-year contract, sitting at 1,596 points. As such, he could reach the 1,600-point plateau early next season, making him the 10th player in NHL history to reach that mark.

Crosby is currently 10th on the all-time points list, 45 points behind Joe Sakic. If Crosby has another productive season, he could pass Sakic and take ninth place on the all-time list.

However, the next player on the list, Mario Lemieux, sits 8th with 1,723 points. Crosby could pass Lemieux but would need to play at least one more season to have a chance at catching another Penguins legend.

Also, Crosby will enter this upcoming season with 592 goals. As it stands, Crosby is 21st on the all-time goal list behind Oilers’ great Jari Kurri. Another solid season could catapult Crosby into the 18th spot, passing Bobby Hull, who registered 610.

Nevertheless, a 40-goal season like last year could place Crosby past Joe Sakic and Jarome Iginla, who each have 625 goals. Doing so would put Crosby 16th on the all-time list.

Given these potential milestones, Penguins fans will have quite a bit to look forward to this upcoming season. Hopefully, Crosby can steer clear of major injuries that could cause him to miss significant time.

If all goes well, Crosby could further cement his case as one of the NHL’s all-time greats.
