It's officially the fourth day of 2024 NHL free agency and we've already seen many big moves. Steven Stamkos has moved out of the Tampa Bay Lightning after serving almost one and a half decades. Max Domi re-signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs on a four-year contract.
Jeff Skinner signed with the Edmonton Oilers in hopes of finally making the playoffs after a 14-year draught. We also saw the Leafs sign Chris Tanev and Tampa Bay sign former Penguins forward Jake Guentzel. Some of these moves have surprised us, whereas others were expected according to the rumors.

Steven Stamkos was drafted first overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2008 NHL Draft. Since then, he has never left the Bolts. The Bolts also acquired former Penguins winger Jake Guentzel from the Carolina Hurricanes.
