On Thursday, the Los Angeles Kings played against Joonas Korpisalo and the Boston Bruins in a preseason game. The Kings won 4-1, and their strong performance set a good tone for the upcoming season.

Quinton Byfield scored the first goal midway through the second period, quickly adding a second goal just 30 seconds later. The Bruins responded with a goal, narrowing the score, but couldn't keep the momentum.

In the third period, Adrian Kempe scored a short-handed goal to extend the Kings' lead. Byfield completed a hat trick by scoring his third goal late in the game.

After the game, Bruins fans were concerned about Korpisalo's goaltending. Korpisalo, who came from Ottawa, was not pleased with his performance. He felt he could have stopped a couple of goals. He faced 26 shots and saved 22, resulting in a .846 save percentage.

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to question his ability to defend the net. The goals he allowed added to the Boston Bruins' frustration.

"That’s why we called him fourpisalo," one fan said.
"Korp gave up 4 goals like I said he would," a fan commented.
"Feels like a good time to give Swayman his money………," one X user said.

Take a look at some more reactions to Joonas Korpisalo's performance from NHL fans on X.

"Korpisalo might be a a terrorist," a fan said.
"The Bs better hope Poitras & Marchand are healthy because the offense just isn’t there yet with this bunch. Without their 2 world class goalies, they’re going to need a lot more offense to win games," a fan commented.
"Not going to win if your goalies suck," a fan tweeted.

Joonas Korpisalo is in a tough spot as he joins the Boston Bruins

Joonas Korpisalo needs to deliver strong performances as the regular season approaches and contract negotiations with Jeremy Swayman continue. Although he struggled in the preseason loss to the Los Angeles Kings, Korpisalo remains confident. He noted some goals he wished he could have saved but is focused on getting better. (Start at 3:22)

"I feel rather sharp," Korpisalo said. "Like I said, I wasn't happy with a couple goals myself. That's preseason, it's what it's for. You got to be better and you learn things and we move on."

Joonas Korpisalo needs to be ready for the season opener against the Florida Panthers. His nine years of NHL experience will be important as the Boston Bruins aim for a strong start this season.

The Boston Bruins have one more preseason game against the Washington Capitals before they open the regular season against the Florida Panthers on October 8.
