"That's why we called him fourpisalo": NHL fans call out Boston Bruins goalie Joonas Korpisalo for conceding four goals in loss to Kings

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Kings played against Joonas Korpisalo and the Boston Bruins in a preseason game. The Kings won 4-1, and their strong performance set a good tone for the upcoming season.

Quinton Byfield scored the first goal midway through the second period, quickly adding a second goal just 30 seconds later. The Bruins responded with a goal, narrowing the score, but couldn't keep the momentum.

In the third period, Adrian Kempe scored a short-handed goal to extend the Kings' lead. Byfield completed a hat trick by scoring his third goal late in the game.

After the game, Bruins fans were concerned about Korpisalo's goaltending. Korpisalo, who came from Ottawa, was not pleased with his performance. He felt he could have stopped a couple of goals. He faced 26 shots and saved 22, resulting in a .846 save percentage.

Joonas Korpisalo needs to deliver strong performances as the regular season approaches and contract negotiations with Jeremy Swayman continue. "I feel rather sharp," Korpisalo said. "Like I said, I wasn't happy with a couple goals myself. That's preseason, it's what it's for. You got to be better and you learn things and we move on."

Joonas Korpisalo needs to be ready for the season opener against the Florida Panthers. His nine years of NHL experience will be important as the Boston Bruins aim for a strong start this season.
