Sam Reinhart and the Florida Panthers are reportedly reaching contract negotiations. The Panthers recently won their first Stanley Cup in their franchise history after defeating the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. Sam Reinhart was one of Panther's top players in this Stanley Cup run. He scored 94 points during the regular season which included 57 goals.

According to NHL insider David R, who cited Elliotte Friedman on the "32 Thoughts" podcast, said that Reinhart and the Panthers are close to finalizing a contract extension worth 9 to 9.5 Million AAV.

"According to on the 32 Thoughts Podcast, the consensus agreement around the league is believed that Sam Reinhart and the Florida Panthers have already locked up a new contract at an assumed “9-9.5m per year AAV.” David R tweeted,
