Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid’s wife Lauren Kyle has concluded her Chicago trip and returned to Alberta. The holiday vibes are in the air, and it seems it's no different in the McDavid household.
On Wednesday, Lauren Kyle posted a clip from her living room, enjoying Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone from her couch in the dark. The McDavids decorated their interior with Christmas lighting and an illuminated Christmas tree in the living room.
Lauren gave fans a glimpse of the home movie theatre experience and also showed off the Christmas decor in the clip. In the caption, she wrote:
“That time of the year 🧙♂️🎄”

Earlier last week, Lauren Kyle enjoyed a girls’ outing in Chicago alongside the wives and partners of several NHL players. The group visited the Polo Ralph Lauren store before dining and socializing together.
The girls gang included Bianca Elisa Bogosian, wife of Minnesota Wild defenseman Zach Bogosian, Megan Bailey, wife of former NHL player Josh Bailey, Kaylee McDonagh, wife of Tampa Bay Lightning’s Ryan McDonagh, Alexie Andlauer, partner of Buffalo Sabres forward Ryan McLeod, and Deanna Shattenkirk, wife of ex-Bruins defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk.
Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle reconnected with Ben Stelter’s family
Oilers captain Connor McDavid made a heartfelt tribute to the Stelter family during Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Nov. 23 at Rogers Place. Facing the New York Rangers, McDavid dedicated the game to six-year-old Ben Stelter, a young Oilers fan who succumbed in 2022 to brain cancer.
McDavid and Lauren Kyle reconnected with Ben’s parents after the game, taking a photo in the locker room, which they shared on Instagram. The evening featured the signature lavender theme of Hockey Fights Cancer, with players and fans writing “I FIGHT FOR” cards to honor those affected by cancer.
Speaking of Ben and his family the week prior, Connor McDavid said:
“He was a great kid,” Connor McDavid said. “A great family, and they're doing so many great things with the Stelter foundation. Such a great kid that had such a big impact, not only on me, but guys in our dressing room. His legacy will live on forever.” [H/T Oilers Daily]
The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation hosted children and families from the Kids with Cancer Society, including a ceremonial puck-drop by Olivia and Everett, two young cancer fighters.
The event also raised funds through the Hockey Fights Cancer Mega 50/50 draw, with proceeds supporting the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Ben Stelter Foundation, Kids with Cancer Society and the EOCF.
