NHL fans expressed their disappointment at the absence of Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman from a list of top goalies.

The NHL Network conducted a poll on X/Twitter, seeking fans' opinions on the best goalie in the league from a designated list. The roster featured Andrei Vasilevskiy (Tampa Bay Lightning), Connor Hellebuyck (Winnipeg Jets), Igor Shesterkin (New York Rangers) and Sergei Bobrovsky (Florida Panthers).

The exclusion of Boston Bruins' Jeremy Swaayman from the list sparked discussions and debates among hockey regarding the recognition and acknowledgment of talented netminders in the league.

One fan reacting to the list, tweeted:

"Answer is Igor but the disrespect to Swayman smh."
"No sway who has been a top 5 goalie at 25 for 3 years straight and his first stint in the short year he was elite for those games played," said another.
"Jeremy Swayman, the next Carey Price. And yes I’m a Habs fan," one Habs fan opined.

Here are some of the other top reactions to the poll on X:

"Gotta go with bobrovsky right now. When it mattered, he was a brick wall. Three games in the finals aside, and he was unbelievable in the playoffs. McDavid had an amazing playoffs, but just feel wrong to not give the goalie that basically dragged them to the cup the conn smyth," another commented their opinion."
"Its Shesterkin, Hellebuyck, Swayman, Bobrovsky, Vasilevskiy," opined another.
"No swayman on there is crazy," one disgruntled fan tweeted.

Jeremy Swayman speculated landing a significant contract extension with the Boston Bruins

In his mailbag for NHL.com, senior writer Dan Rosen shared his insights on Swayman's potential contract scenarios with the Boston Bruins.

Rosen speculated that if the 25-year-old netminder secures a long-term deal spanning around eight years, his salary could fall below $9 million annually. Conversely, a short-term agreement might see him commanding between $9-10 million per season.

Swayman has been impressive between the pipes for the Boston Bruins, especially this past season. He posted a 25-10-8 record with a 2.53 GAA and a .916 SV% while splitting the net with Linus Ullmark.

Jeremy Swayman was drafted No. 111 by the Boston Bruins in the 2017 NHL draft. He has been with the team for the past four seasons, going 79-33-15 with 2.34 GAA and an SV% of .919 in 132 career games.
