Lane Hutson and the Canadiens secured a 5-4 OT win against the Rangers

The Montreal Canadiens won 5-4 in overtime against the New York Rangers on Sunday. Lane Hutson played 25:10 minutes, getting two shots on goal.

Alexis Lafreniere scored first for the Rangers but Brendan Gallagher tied it for Montreal. Will Cuylle put the Rangers ahead again but Christian Dvorak answered to make it 2-2. Mika Zibanejad's power-play goal gave New York a 3-2 lead. Nick Suzuki tied it 3-3 for Montreal. Chris Kreider put the Rangers back ahead at 4-3.

Juraj Slafkovsky scored to tie the game 4-4 in the third period. Patrik Laine then scored the game-winning goal in overtime. Jakub Dobes made 23 saves for his fifth win in five starts. Lane Hutson and the Habs will play the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.
