Connor McDavid has played well this season and is the leading scorer in the NHL, with 50 goals in 61 appearances so far.
McDavid has attracted a lot of attention with his recent performances, and TSN hockey analysts Frank Corrado and Jay Onrait praised the Edmonton Oilers captain for his growth into a big-time scorer.
Watch the clip of their interaction below:
"He is the most evolved player in the game," Onrait said. "He has worked on his shots to the point, he beats the goaltenders from the distance, he could beat them in different ways."
Onrait also said that McDavid has improved his shooting percentage from 15 throughout his career to 18 this season, in contrast to what many had predicted. However, he believes that while McDavid does care about goals, what he desires most is winning games.
"This guy cares about winning, that's all he wants to do right now. You can see it in his face... It's a pretty cool journey to see him turn into this big-time goal scorer."
