Fans reacted as the Buffalo Sabres lost their 11th straight game on Tuesday, falling 6-1 to the Montreal Canadiens. Patrik Laine led Montreal with a hat-trick. Juraj Slafkovsky added a goal and an assist, while Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield each had two assists.

Dylan Cozens scored Buffalo's only goal. Sam Montembeault made 20 saves for Montreal, helping them climb up the Atlantic Division standings.

The Sabres posted the final score on X, where fans shared their frustration.

“This team honestly ruined my desire to watch hockey anymore,” one fan wrote.

Another fan referred to Sabres GM Kevyn Adams’ earlier comments about players avoiding Buffalo due to no palm trees or tax benefits:

“Through the Sabres 11-game losing streak, they have played 11 different teams. All 11 teams do not have palm trees in their province/state. All 11 teams pay taxes. What’s the excuse going to be now?”
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 WE WANT 12!!!!! FIRE SOMEONE NOW FOR FU**S SAKE," a fan pointed.
"Being a fan of this team is kinda what I imagine having a heroin addict for an immediate relative is like. You love them, don’t know how not to love them but they are helpless and ruining your life by being around you," a fan said.

"If it wasn't official before tonight, it is now safe to say that the Sabres are the worst team in the NHL. Don't trade that first round pick because it is likely to be a lottery pick, maybe even first overall," another posted.

Sam Montembeault kept the Buffalo Sabres offense in check

Joel Armia opened the scoring for Montreal after 19 seconds, with a deflected puck bouncing off the end boards. Patrik Laine made it 2-0 at 6:26 with a power-play one-timer from Nick Suzuki. Dylan Cozens responded for the Buffalo Sabres at 3:43 of the second period to reduce the deficit.

Juraj Slafkovsky, though, restored Montreal's two-goal lead at 5:54, scoring off a rebound. Laine added two 5-on-3 power-play goals, one-timers from the left circle before Josh Anderson scored from close range at 19:15 to make it 6-1.

Sam Montembeault made 20 saves, while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 15 shots for the Buffalo Sabres.
