The game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Philadelphia Flyers saw Tony DeAngelo get a five-minute major and game misconduct for spearing Corey Perry. It happened during the third period when players from both teams came into an argument, and it got fiery.
The game was open-ended from the start. The Flyers scored first to take the lead through Morgan Frost, which was subsequently canceled out by the Lightning within two minutes through Alex Killorn.
The second period saw the Lightning come out stronger and score three past the helpless Flyers. Even though the Flyers scored one more, it was not enough to stop the Lightning, who won the first game after five losses. However, the highlight of the game was the misconduct from Tony DeAngelo, who was ejected from play.

The Flyers have struggled this season and are second to last in the Eastern Conference Metropolitan with 59 points.
The Flyers have lost eight games out of their last ten and are struggling to save their playoff hopes. They're 15 points behind the fourth-placed New York Rangers and will need to win every game from now on to have any chance of the playoffs.
