The first game of the Eastern Conference Finals was memorable to watch as it featured a total of four overtimes period, the game lasted for 139:47 minutes, making it the sixth-longest game in NHL history. Matthew Tkachuk put the Panthers 1-0 up in the series after he scored in the fourth overtime of Game 1.

Game 2 featured the second overtime contest of the series. However, this time, the fans didn't have to wait for too long, as Matthew Tkachuk again emerged with an overtime-winning goal. The Florida Panthers took a 2-0 lead in the series.

Game 3 moved to the home ice of the Panthers, where they continued to keep their winning streak alive and defeated the Carolina Hurricanes with a 1-0 scoreline.

Sam Reinhart was the only goal-scorer in the game. While netminder Sergei Bobrovsky secured his first shutout win in his 64 playoff games and made 32 saves in the contest.

Game 4 between the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes takes place on Wednesday. If Panthers secure a win in their next game, it will mark the first sweep win in the ongoing NHL playoffs.
