The Vancouver Canucks have a new partnership. The team announced on Friday that legal technology company Clio is its new official away jersey partner.

The Clio logo will be featured on Canucks' away jerseys in the 2024-25 NHL season. It is the first road jersey sponsor that Vancouver has acquired. The Canucks had TD bank as the home jersey sponsor for the 2023-24 NHL season.

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Clio as our inaugural away jersey sponsor,” said Michael Doyle, president, Canucks Sports & Entertainment Business Operations, in a statement.
“This new partnership brings the Canucks together with a dynamic Vancouver-based company, long celebrated as one of Canada’s top employers, and recently named to the Forbes Cloud 100 list. We are so proud to partner with an organization that is deeply committed to innovation and dedicated to giving back to the community. This is an exciting time for both Canucks Sports & Entertainment and Clio.”

The new agreement will bring in more revenue for the hockey team. Clio also says it will help out the Vancouver community.

“Seeing the Clio logo on the Canucks' away jerseys is a standout moment for us, reflecting our commitment to excellence and community not just in Vancouver but in every city where the team competes,” said Jack Newton, CEO and Founder of Clio.
“This partnership highlights our shared values of teamwork and innovation, offering us a unique opportunity to connect with fans and showcase our support for a team that represents the heart of Vancouver —a city we are proud to call home.”

The Canucks will open its 2024-25 NHL season at home on October 9 against the Calgary Flames.

Vancouver Canucks have an active offseason

Vancouver was eliminated in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs by the Edmonton Oilers in seven games. The Canucks led the series 3-2 but lost two straight games to lose the series.

After the playoff exit, the Canucks have been active in free agency. Vancouver saw Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov leave in free agency to sign with the Boston Bruins.

However, Vancouver signed forwards Jake DeBrusk, Daniel Sprong, Danton Heinen and Kiefer Sherwood. The Canucks also signed defensemen Derek Forbort and Vincent Desharnais.

However, one major question for Vancouver going into the 2024-25 NHL season is the fact that starting goalie Thatcher Demko is still dealing with an injury. His status for the beginning of the season is up in the air.
