Comedian Theo Von offered a simple two-word birthday message to hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, who turned 64 on Sunday.
Von, known for his stand-up comedy and podcast "This Past Weekend," tweeted:
"The legend @WayneGretzky" in honor of Gretzky's birthday.
Gretzky set numerous records in his NHL career that still stand. He has got the most goals (894) and most points (2,857( in NHL history. He had four Stanley Cups win with the Edmonton Oilers.
After retiring in 1999, Gretzky took the role as a coach and NHL ambassador. He now works as a hockey analyst at the NHL on TNT.
Gretzky also received well wishes from friends, family and fans. His wife Janet posted a loving message on Instagram, along with photos from his legendary career and personal life.
“Happy Birthday to the Greatest One in every way !!! You continue to be a very Special One to all of us. We all Love you !!!,” she wrote.
The couple's son Trevor also posted a birthday message to his father on social media.
