Vladimir Tarasenko, born on Dec. 13, 1991, is a Russian ice hockey player who currently plays as a right winger for the New York Rangers in the NHL.

Vladimir Tarasenko is a professional ice hockey player who was born in Yaroslavl, Russia. He began playing hockey at a young age and honed his skills in the Russian hockey system. He played for several teams in Russia, including Sibir Novosibirsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), before being drafted 16th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Tarasenko made his NHL debut with the Blues in the 2012-13 season and quickly established himself as one of the league's top goal-scorers. Over his nine seasons with the Blues, he recorded 30 or more goals in six seasons and was named to the NHL All-Star Game in 2015 and 2017. He consistently proved himself to be one of the most dominant and electrifying players in the league, with his speed, skill and ability to score goals from anywhere on the ice.
In addition to his impressive regular-season performances, Tarasenko also helped lead the Blues to their first Stanley Cup win in 2019. He had a standout playoff performance, scoring a team-high 11 goals and adding eight assists, earning the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player of the playoffs. His contributions played a major role in the Blues' historic run to their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
