Watch Trent Frederic's one punch knockout video here:

The incident occurred during the second period after Blue Jackets forward Lane Pederson cross-checked Bruins captain Patrice Bergerorn.

Initially, Lane Pederson was given a five-minute penalty, which was eventually reduced to two minutes after reviewing the incident. The Bruins' Trent Frederic did not like the decision and came in support of his captain Bergeron later in the second period.

The Bruins forward needed just one punch to take Lane Pederson down the ice before the referees had to step in to avoid any further harm. The fight marked the seventh fight for Trent Frederic, tying him at fifth among the players with the most fights of the season.

The Boston Bruins, on the other hand, are known for their physical dominance on the ice. This season, Bruins players have been involved in over twenty fights. The team currently has players who will drop their gloves at any time, which can be considered an advantage as the playoffs approach.

The third period of the game saw no goals from either of the teams and the game then moved to OT. David Pastrnak scored 41 seconds of OT to sail the Bruins to claim their 58th win of the season.

With this win, the Boston Bruins won the 2023 Presidents' Trophy award for the fourth time in their franchise history. The team will enter the playoffs with a home ice advantage.

With seven games remaining on the schedule, the Boston Bruins are also on pace to break the record for the most wins in a season (shared by the Detroit Red Wings and the Tampa Bay Lightning).
