Brandon Duhaime and Brendan Smith engaged in a spirited fight during the second period of the Caps-Stars game on Monday.

Tensions between the two players brewed throughout the second period, and eventually, they decided to go at it. Both players exchanged punches, but Duhaime had the last laugh, as he was able to take down Smith with some heavy right-hand punches.

Both players were hit with five-minute major penalties for fighting against each other. Dylan Strome put the Capitals ahead 1-0 at 15:39 of the first period.

At the time of writing this, the Stars lead the Caps 2-1, thanks to goals from Roope Hintz and Lian Bichsel in the second period.
