In a heated clash between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night, Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov found himself embroiled in a physical altercation with Lightning forward Mitchell Chaffee.

As the shoving escalated, referees tried to intervene but the two players continued exchanging blows as the official got sandwiched between them. Zadorov attempted to grab Chaffee's helmet as the referee struggled to separate them. Both received roughing penalties for the altercation.
Just minutes later, another fight broke out at center ice between Bruins forward Trent Frederic and Lightning defenseman Emil Lilleberg.
Frederic landed several heavy right-handed blows to Lilleberg's head and got in a few solid uppercuts. Though Lilleberg got some shots in as well, Frederic seemingly got the better of the exchange. Both received five minute fighting majors.
Boston went on to win 6-2 over Tampa Bay. David Pastrnak, Trent Frederic, Brad Marchand, Parker Wotherspoon, Pavel Zacha and Andrew Peeke scored for Boston. Tampa Bay's goals came from Victor Hedman and Conor Geekie.
Jeremy Swayman made 43 saves while Andrei Vasilevskiy saved 18 shots in the loss.
