WATCH: Charlie McAvoy’s 39-week pregnant wife Kiley shows off fun pilates routine with trainer

Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy’s wife Kiley showed fans that she isn’t going to let pregnancy slow her down. Kiley took to social media on Thursday to repost a video reel highlighting her rigorous pilates routine despite being 39 weeks pregnant.

Kiley posted a short clip on her Instagram Story, captioned with these words:

“The best of the best movement (especially with @jppilates1) is medicine.”

The original reel was posted by Kiley’s pilates instructor. The original post's caption read:

“It’s been a privilege training @kileymcavoy throughout her pregnancy. She has consistently shown up 1-2x every single week for the past nine months. She’s now just one week away from her due date and she’s stronger than ever!

"I’m not sharing to just show off how incredible this mama- to- be is (trust me she’s fabulous) but because I want to remind everyone that you can always make the choice to feel your best! Don’t let anything stop you from achieving happiness in your body and mind. Pilates is always a good idea!”

Kiley had organized a themed baby shower around Christmas which was attended by the wives and partners of her husband’s teammates. Elias Lindholm’s wife Annica and Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand’s wife Katrina were present on the occasion.

The event included several Christmas-themed activities, such as gingerbread house-making, Christmas-theme dress pajamas and a special dinner. On Instagram, Kylie wrote in a post:

“Showered with so much love by the best ladies ❤️ heart is so full @bruinsbetterhalves.”

Kiley’s husband Charlie is currently on the injured reserve for the Bruins. He missed their last game with an undisclosed injury and is not expected to return for their upcoming game against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.

The Bruins on Tuesday night defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-2, avenging an earlier loss on Jan. 9 against the same team.

How Charlie McAvoy met his wife Kiley

Kiley is the daughter of former Bruins player and hockey coach Mike Sullivan. She met Charlie at a Bruins game in 2018 while she was a student at Boston University.

The couple were confirmed to be dating when they attended the wedding of one of Charlie’s teammates in 2021. He proposed to Kiley in Greece in July 2022 and the couple were married at the Boston Public Library in August 2023.

Many of Charlie’s teammates and former and active NHL stars attended the wedding, including Bruins captain Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, Connor Clifton, Taylor Hall, Derek Forbort, among others.
