Florida Panthers enforcer Jonah Gadjovich and New Jersey Devils tough guy Brenden Dillon set off fireworks during the second period of the Panthers-Devils tilt on Tuesday night.
The two wasted no time in dropping the gloves and getting the action going. Both Jonah Gadjovich and Brenden Dillon traded a flurry of blows, pummeling one another while teammates and officials watched close by before intervening.
The battle continued until Gadjovich managed to knock Dillon to the ice. As the two combatants continued to wrestle on the ice, the officials stepped in to break up the altercation.
Each player was sent off with a five-minute major for fighting. Fans are now counting the moments for the rematch between these two.
Jonah Gadjovich drop game to the Devils
When everything was said and done, Jonah Gadjovich and the Panthers dropped a 4-1 decision to the Devils.

Meanwhile, Sam Reinhart responded for the Cats with a power play tally, his 12th of the season. Jacob Markstrom made 33 saves to keep the Panthers in check.
With the loss, the Panthers’ winning streak ended at seven games. However, one streak that did continue was Reinhart’s point streak. Reinhart’s goal extended his point streak to eight games. Reinhart has 12 tallies and 24 points on the year.
Spencer Knight got the call for the Panthers. He made 20 saves, but could not keep the Cats in the game. According to the numbers, Knight wasn’t as sharp as he may have wanted to. Knight went 4-for-7 on medium-danger opportunities.
Overall, the Devils played a solid 60 minutes. The Cats did not surrender many opportunities, making the game difficult for the Panthers to get anything going.
As for the Devils, they’re 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. The Devils lead the Metro Division by two points over the Carolina Hurricanes. Despite the loss, the Panthers maintain a three-point lead over the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Atlantic Division. The Leafs also lost their game on Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators.
The Panthers and Devils will meet again on November 14 at the Amerant Bank Arena in Florida.
