Patrick Roy's Quebeck Ramparts made a brilliant comeback in Game 6

The Halifax Mooseheads were 4-3 up before the third period. However, the Quebec Ramparts displayed brilliant resilience and displayed their best hockey in the remaining frame of the final period.

With less than five minutes remaining before the final buzzer, the Ramparts made a brilliant comeback and scored twice with Pierre-Oliver Roy netting the title-clinching goal for the team in the last minute remaining of the game.

Roy returned to coach the Quebec Ramparts in 2018. However, under tutelage, they suffered a few setbacks during his first few years. The Ramparts were great but eliminated in the playoffs in 2022 and the future of Roy was under question.

However, Patrick Roy return to the club in the 2022-23 season, for one last time. This time all his hard work paid off clinching his first QMJHL title with the team. Roy is also the GM and the co-owner of the team and he brought in Simon Gange to apprentice under him starting in the 2023-24 season.

Quebec Ramparts will look to continue their dominance in the Memorial Cup and a win can open the gates for Roy to return back into the NHL.

According to the reports, the New York Rangers, who are in search of their new head coach, are reported to have shown interest in Roy.
