In a scary moment on the ice, Pittsburgh Penguins Noel Acciari narrowly avoided a serious injury when Red Wings' Andrew Copp's skate blade made dangerous contact during a battle for puck possession.
Copp's skate struck Acciari in the back of the head, creating a tense moment for players and fans alike. Fortunately, both Noel Acciari and Andrew Copp escaped without serious injury.

The incident comes on the heels of a tragic event from last year when former hockey player Adam Johnson lost his life after a skate blade struck him during a game against the Sheffield Steelers.
Matt Petgrave, a player for the Steelers, cut Johnson's neck with his skate, leading to severe injury. Johnson ultimately bled out and died in the hospital.
