Ryan Leonard and Team USA players celebrated their gold medal victory at the 2025 World Juniors after defeating Finland on Sunday at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Teddy Stiga scored the winner for the United States 8:04 into overtime. Following the on-ice celebrations, the team retreated to their locker room, where they performed their powerful victory chant, which goes as follows:

"Oh, mama don’t you cry. Oh, mama don’t you cry! USA hockey is do or die. USA hockey is do or die! Put a hockey stick in my hand. Put a hockey stick in my hand! Send me off to a foreign land. Send me off to a foreign land! Carl said I’d be a star. Carl said I’d be a star! That I’d go very far. That I’d go very far! Pour some Gatorade in my glass. Pour some Gatorade in my glass! We just kicked your fooking a*! We just kicked your fooking a*!"

Here's the video of Team USA's victory chant after the 2025 World Juniors win:

Notably, the chant is only performed after the team wins a championship. It debuted when the Team USA junior team won the 2010 tournament. Since then, it has become a tradition to release the latest rendition after they capture gold.
